Parade

We would like to inform the preparation for Taiwan pride and also rough itinerary(schedule) on pride day. As 2014 Pride schedule will be released on very last minutes, we would like to explain the details using 2013 pride parade.

The preparation before departure

Please prepare to bring all stuff you need for normal overseas trip. Although last week of October, day time temperature might be 30℃ or more.

Short sleeves, Long sleeves(night time might be cool in Taipei)

Why don’t you wear Japanese Kimono together with us! Out Asia Travel would like to support to find Kimono(or Yukata) for you, if needed. Just for your reference, we have stated pictures taken last year. Of course, normal wear is totally fine, however, surprisingly, most of Taiwanese watching this parade bring nice cameras to shoot you if you wear nicely. You will be a star!

Itinerary/Schedule

12:30
We will inform you where/what time we can meet on pride day.(It will be a lobby of selected hotel). Our local LGBT staff will lead you to pride place using public transportation, however, of course, you are able to go there by yourself.(Public transportation feel is on your own) It expect very hot on daytime, we highly recommend you to bring towel and drinks.
13:00～14:00
Time to time, many people gather the parade starting point. There will be some concert at stage. So many nice guys/ladies all over the world with cool costume will be there, so it is a good chance to take pictures together. Also, you are able to check which float would you like to follow to walk during the parade.
In 2013, Japanese team walk with Tokyo Rainbow Parade’s float.
This is the course of parade in 2013. For 2014, we will update information at this website as soon as it comes.
14:00
Start to wall the parade. Since it expect many floats this year too, you have to wait for a little time for your float to start.
14:00～16:05
Walk on Taipei city with chatting friends, singing, etc… Many Taiwanese audiences will shoot you during the parade. In case you are tired, you are able to leave anytime. Please be careful for heat illness.
16:05～
After back to the starting point, there will be concerts again at stage. Please enjoy to watch shows, or back to hotel and take a shower for dinner/night life preparation. (Public transportation fee to hotel is on your own.)

After the parade…

As a privilege, we offer a dinner with local LGBT. This require an additional charge and also advanced reservation. The details will be informed at this website later.

There will be a lot of parties on that night. This is a good chance to find friends from all over the world. Why don’t you go out to enjoy Taipei night life!
